Competition Terms and Conditions
Before you proceed with your registration, please carefully review the following terms and conditions, which outline the requirements and responsibilities for all participating pilots. Your adherence to these guidelines will ensure a safe, fair, and enjoyable competition for everyone involved.
Terms and Conditions
Eligibility Criteria
Age Requirement: Participants must be at least 18 years old on the date of registration.
Licensing: All pilots must hold a valid paragliding license recognized by the national or international aviation authorities.
Experience: A minimum of 50 logged flight hours and at least 10 hours of accuracy landing experience are required.
Registration Process

Application: Interested pilots must complete the online registration form on the official event website (shimlaflyingfestival.in) or via the provided offline form.

Documentation: Pilots must upload or provide copies of their paragliding license, medical certificate, and proof of experience.

Fees: A non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 5500/- must be paid upon submission of the registration form. Payment details will be provided during the registration process.
Acceptance of Registration

Review Process: All registrations will be reviewed by the event committee. Acceptance is at the sole discretion of the committee.

Notification: Successful applicants will receive a confirmation email along with further instructions for participation.
Competition Rules

Compliance: Pilots must adhere to the competition rules and regulations, which will be provided upon acceptance of registration.

Safety Briefing: Attendance at the mandatory safety briefing is required. Pilots who miss this briefing may be disqualified.

Equipment: All pilots must use certified and competition-approved paragliding equipment. Inspections will be conducted before the event.

Conduct: Unsportsmanlike conduct, including but not limited to tampering with equipment or violating safety protocols, will result in immediate disqualification.
Liability and Insurance

Insurance: All pilots must have valid third-party liability insurance and personal accident insurance covering paragliding activities. Proof of insurance must be provided during registration.

Liability Waiver: Pilots must sign a liability waiver absolving the event organizers, sponsors, and local authorities of any responsibility in case of injury, loss, or damage during the competition.

Indemnity: Pilots agree to indemnify and hold harmless the event organizers from any claims arising out of their participation in the competition.
Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation by Pilot: If a registered pilot needs to cancel their participation, refunds will not be processed.

Event Cancellation: In the event of cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., adverse weather, safety concerns), the organizers will notify participants as soon as possible. Refunds or rescheduling will be at the discretion of the event committee.
Media and Promotion

Photography and Filming: By participating in the competition, pilots consent to being photographed and filmed. The organizers may use this media for promotional purposes without any compensation to the pilots.

Publicity: Pilots agree to participate in promotional activities related to the event if requested by the organizers.
Modifications

Amendments: The event organizers reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Registered pilots will be notified of any changes.
